Daily Reflections for Highly Effective People

For Christmas I received a book titled, "Daily Reflections For Highly Effective People", not sure if I am suppose to read between the lines on that one or not...LOL. Anyway, with that being the case there is a daily quote that is to be read to start each day and ponder on. With that being the case, from time to time when one of these quotes really makes an impact I will add it to my blog. The January 1st quote by Stephen Covey was great and is going to be a major focus for me in 2010. It states, "If we want to change a situation, we first have to change ourselves. And to change ourselves effectively, we first have to change our perceptions."

New Years Resolutions

Well, it is time to become a blogger I guess and start sharing events that are happening. We started the year by having a fantastic Family Council where we put together some plans for 2010 to help us all improve physically, mentally, spiritually, and other focus areas. Well, the good news that we are started and ready to roll.

So how did I start? First we put everything in writing and then Shaylin is going to start us out by picking the book we are going to focus on for the next two months. We have also been doing our nightly scripture study and family prayers which was another impact point. In terms of physical, I went out for my first run in a long time yesterday and was able to push through about 4 miles which was great.

Well, I know I will do better with as we move forward and so I will keep this one brief with more to follow in 2010
